While we embrace our successful past, we also look to the future ahead. Today, we proudly unveil our reimagined identity — Stoner & Associates is now, simply, Stoner.

Our Foundation

Stoner, formally Stoner & Associates, was founded by James D. Stoner, P.S.M. in 1988.

Mr. Stoner was formerly Vice President of Land Surveying at Williams Hatfield and Stoner, Inc. (WH&S) a prominent Engineering, Land Surveying and Planning firm located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As the son of one of the founding partners of WH&S, it was Mr. Stoner’s dream to one day start his own land surveying firm.

That dream was realized in September of 1988 when he opened James D. Stoner & Associates (later renamed to Stoner & Associates and now in 2021 named Stoner). From the inception it was Mr. Stoner’s goal to work on challenging projects and produce high quality survey maps. That dream has been realized and continues to this day.

Today, Stoner has over fifteen employees, including three Licensed Professional Surveyor and Mappers, supervising four survey field crews. Stoner maintains an office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
