Spring is the Perfect Time for Land Surveying

In Florida, Land Surveying is completed all year long depending on when projects need to be completed. However, there are certain times of the year that are ideal for land surveying than others. Surveying during the spring months is a lot better than trying to complete a survey in the heat of the summer, dealing with potential storms or hurricanes or in the hectic winter months. If you are in need of a land survey or mapping service, without time restraints, we recommend the spring. The following are a few commonly asked surveys questions:

WHY SHOULD I HAVE A LAND SURVEY?

Land surveys are completed for a variety of reasons. There are a few different types of land surveys as defined by the Florida Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers. Depending on the purpose of the survey, our staff will determine the type of survey that your commercial project requires.

HOW LONG DOES A COMMERCIAL LAND SURVEY TAKE?

Depending on the weather conditions and other variable factors such as the property size, the type of survey, the availability of ground controls and access issues, it can range in time to process. Once an order is placed we will be able to give you an exact estimate based on our experience of projects within the same area.

WHAT ARE THE COMMON LAND SURVEYS?

BOUNDARY SURVEYS – these are typically completed to establish the boundary between properties and is done mostly for perimeter installation or construction purposes.

COMMERCIAL SURVEYS – this type of survey is a bit more in-depth and may consist of ALTA surveys, topographical, and engineering surveys. These surveys can ensure your commercial property is correctly marked, and that boundary lines are correct.

LAND AND ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN – these engineering surveys are unique because they are used to show the lay of the land. They can assist engineers in designing buildings for construction projects. These surveys are incredibly detailed and include topographic surveys that often use UAV mapping to ensure the property is adequately surveyed.
